ROBERT A. "SKIP"

Age 93, of Peters Township, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Beloved husband of E. Elaine Kortyna for 68 beautiful years; loving father of Linda (Dave) Mirkovich, Robert (Jennifer) Kortyna, Mark Kortyna, Bonnie (Tarabay) Antoun, and Douglas (Maria Antonia) Kortyna; proud grandfather of Vanessa, Clarissa, Bradley, Michelle, Bridget, Robert, Matthew, Gabrielle, Dominica, Christopher, Michael, Rachel, Douglas, Brandi, Maria Aida, Joseph; caring great grandfather of Christian, Evelyn, Lillian, Penelope, Henry, Zelda, Alexie, Katherine, Daphne, Nadine, Zoe, Ezra, Avery, Micah; father in law of Stephanie, Deana and the late Teresa; son of the late George and Bertha Kortyna; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

He dedicated many years of his professional life to management at H.J. Heinz Company until his retirement, where he was respected for his leadership and commitment. Following his retirement, he remained actively involved in the Heinz community, serving as President of the H.J. Heinz Men's Retirees Association and as a board member of the Heinz Credit Union.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Skip had a deep passion for baseball and hockey, enjoying both as a fan and in sharing those interests with others. Above all, he was a family man. He cherished his wife deeply and took great pride in his children, always putting his family first in everything he did. His love, dedication, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends and Family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd. McMurray, 724-941-3211 on Thursday, March 26, 2026, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, where a blessing service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, 11 AM. Entombment to follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park with military honors.
