ROBERT "BOB"

Age 82, of Bluffton, SC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of his family. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Judith Budd; and his sister, Barbara Smith. He was the devoted father of Michelle (Joel) Like, Frank (Denise) Machi, John (Linda) Machi, Christopher (Dawn) Machi, and Joseph (Christi) Budd; cherished Pappy to 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

An owner of two different Giant Eagle locations, Bob dedicated 45 years of service as a widely recognized team member in the Pittsburgh area.

Robert honorably served two years of active duty in the United States Army with the Fourth U.S. Army, earning the Sharpshooter Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.

His favorite hobbies included long walks around the neighborhood with his four-legged companion Sammi, cheering for his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, golfing at various courses in Hilton Head, and traveling to the multiple states inhabited by his family.

Robert's steady faith in his Lord and Savior shaped every season of his life, and he leaves a legacy defined by the way he loved Judy with his whole heart and the family they built and cherished together.

Arrangements by BEINHAUERS, 2828 Washington Road, 15317. Family and friends are welcome Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, 15102, with a 12:30 p.m. interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Anyone wishing to attend the funeral service or interment should meet the family directly at the church or the cemetery.
