SASINOSKI

ROBERT F.

Age 76, of O'Hara Twp., passed away at home on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The oldest son of the late Benny F. and Vera A. Sasinoski; Bob was the loyal brother of Carol A. Sasinoski, the Hon. Kevin G. (Lisa) Sasinoski, and the late Donald M. Sasinoski. He was the loving uncle of Maria L. (Jeff Greiner), Megan R., Mary Katherine (Matthew Tumas), and Lorie (Josh Allen Baker) Sasinoski; and the proud great-uncle of Cameron, George, Quinn, William, Thomas and Audra.

Bob graduated with honors from North Catholic High School in 1966. He earned a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970 and a Master's degree from Robert Morris University. He worked hard his whole life, first at Gulf Oil in the New Orleans District as a reservoir engineer, and later at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh evaluating oil and gas reserves in the Tri-State area. In a midlife career change, he returned to school, earned a nursing degree, and worked in health care. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating and was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates. He rarely missed listening to a Pirate game on radio or watching on television. His summers were spent at the family cottage on the shore of Lake Erie in Northeast, PA, and he regularly vacationed at the family condo in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him, including his dog, Rascal; his African grey parrot, Jake; and especially his sister, Carol, who provided loving and compassionate care for Bob through his illness and never left his side.

Visitation will be held at the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall, on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Christ the King Parish, St. Edward Church, 450 Walnut Street, Blawnox. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, O'Hara Twp.
