ROBERT W. CAMPBELL Obituary
CAMPBELL
ROBERT W.
Age 74, of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Pittsburgh to the late Richard and Elizabeth Campbell, Bob lived a life defined by family, friendship, and hard work. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Linda (Kimes) Campbell, whose partnership and love were the foundation of his life. Together they built a family that was his greatest source of pride and joy.
Bob was a devoted father to Lauren (John) Costello, Ryan (Krista) Campbell, and Cristin (Dan) Conlon; and an adoring Pap Pap to Keira, Jack, Maura, Nolan, Broc, Eli, Weston, Rhys, and Cael; as well as his new pup, Bentley. Whether it was a baseball game, dance recital, golf match, band concert, or any event involving his children or grandchildren, Bob was there. He rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on, celebrate their successes, and remind them how proud he was.
A graduate of Bethel Park High School, Class of 1969, Bob's love of music and sports began early. He played baseball and marched with the school band before continuing both passions at Duquesne University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in music education and played on the school's baseball team.
For 46 years, Bob proudly owned and operated Mt. Lebanon Awning. He took great pride in the relationships he built through his work and the legacy he created for his family.
Bob's dedication to the awning industry extended far beyond his own company. He was a longtime member of the Canvas Products Association Zone Seven and proudly served as its president. Through decades of involvement, he helped strengthen the organization, foster friendships throughout the industry, and mentor others who shared his passion for the trade. The annual conventions and meetings were among his favorite traditions, providing opportunities to learn, lead, and reconnect with colleagues who became lifelong friends.
He loved spending time on the golf course at Chartiers Country Club, where he was a member for 45 years. His passion for music remained a constant throughout his life, and he found tremendous joy performing with the polka band, the Ramblin' Slovenes. Whether he was playing music, talking baseball, discussing Corvettes, or planning his next trip, Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of life and in sharing them with those around him.
Family vacations created some of Bob's most treasured memories. Whether it was the excitement and wonder of Disney or the sunsets and relaxed pace of Anna Maria Island, Bob's greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people he loved most.
Bob is also survived by his sister, Leslie (Nathaniel) Smith; and was preceded in death by his brother, Richard W. Campbell.
