RONAELE SMITH
Of Pittsburgh, age 85, passed away surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Ronnie lived a full and productive life. A Dormont High ('58) and Slippery Rock ('62) graduate, she taught English first at Moon Township and then at Dormont High School. She left teaching to start her family with her husband, Tom. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Tom O'Connor; children, Douglas (Carrie) O'Connor, Jennifer (Rick) Carlson and Gregory O'Connor; and her grandchildren, Spencer, Sean, Casey, Tanner, Asher, Patrick, Kierston and Lilly.
The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice for their outstanding support over Ronnie's final months.
Friends and family will be received at BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2630 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11 A.M. Burial will be private.
