Ronald G. Beyer, Sr., 93, of Bethel Park, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026.



He was born November 14, 1932, in Carnegie, the son of the late Fritz and Dot Beyer.



Ron was a 1950 graduate of Scott High School. He went on to earn an associate's degree and became a licensed stationary engineer.



He worked as an engineer for H.J. Heinz for 47 years. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling with his team, the Aches and Pains, and playing the trombone with the Ringold Military Marching Band.



Ron served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 in the Marshall Islands under project Manhattan. He said many times, "I've survived damn near everything."



On August 23, 1958, he married the love of his life, Isabella "Billie" Wakeling. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years together before she passed away on February 7, 2016.



Ron is survived by five children, Ronald (Lori) Beyer Jr., Mary Ann (Paul) Stasik, William (Carole) Beyer, John (Vickie) Beyer, and Joan (Tim) Quigley; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and many extended family members.



He is preceded in death, in addition to his loving wife and parents, by a son, Russell "Rusty" Beyer; and a sister, Margaret "Marg" (Ozro) Barclay.



Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at PAUL HENNEY CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Valentine's Catholic Church, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
