Moon Twp, PA - Age 84, a longtime Moon Twp. resident, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on Friday evening, September 12, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 62 years to the love of his life, Gloria Jean (Tapler) Panko. Proud son of Ukrainian parents, the late Peter and Stephanie Panko. Cherished father of Ronald Michael Panko, Jr. (Joy), John Panko (Charlotte) and Kristina Frioni (Bill). Brother of Richard Panko (Kathy). Grandfather of Samantha (Jack) Scharf, Matthew Panko (Kat), Christopher Panko, Morgan Panko (Kyle), Sarah Panko, Luke Frioni and Paige Frioni. Ron welcomed his first great-grandchild, Beau, this Wednesday (September 10). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the R.D. COPELAND FUNERAL HOME, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp., on Tuesday, September 16, from 4 - 8 p.m. A prayer Service will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, September 17, at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.
