YOUNG

RONAN FRANCIS

Age 65, passed away on November 24, 2025. Born December 22, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Sylvester Young and Catherine Elizabeth (Cush) Young.

Ronan is survived by his wife, Gretchen (Schade) Young; sons, Ross (Amanda) Young and Keenan Young; sister, Mary T. (Steve) French; and brother, Joseph (Marilyn) Young.

Ronan loved golfing and was a huge fan of the Pirates. He and his immediate family went camping every summer when his children were young, and he continued to go camping whenever he could in recent years. He enjoyed having movie marathons at home and listening to music and attended Central Church of Pittsburgh in Shadyside.

Above all else, Ronan loved spending time with his children and took any opportunity he could to tell them, or anyone else who would listen, just how proud he was of them. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and uncle, as well as a caring friend to many.

Memorial services will be private for the immediate family.
