ROSEMARIE

Rosemarie Fitchwell, 90, of Monroeville, passed away on May 5, 2026. Born to parents Alphonso and Lena Pace in Pittsburgh. She was the wife of the late John Fitchwell; loving mother of John (Jessie) Fitchwell, Rick (Linda) Fitchwell, Leslie Fitchwell; adored grandchildren John (Alison) Fitchwell, Trent Fitchwell, Andrew (Risa) Fitchwell, Lena (Cody) Newsome, Emily (Mike) Koebler, Eric (Morgan) Fitchwell, Kevin (Alexa) Fitchwell; great-grandmother of Hero, Jupiter, Lemuel John, Elden, Jackson, Elody and Sophie; sister of Dolores Chiavetta and the late Agnes Sala, Mary Taccino, Eva Masciantonio, Jean Tedesco, Sam Pace, and Anna LeDonne; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rose dedicated her life to her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the bright lights of her later years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds; she was a fierce protector of her family and taught us to love deeply. Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren who will remember her hosting Christmas Eve family celebrations, drinking 'fresh' coffee, and sharing Snickers bars at the beach.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the GENE H. CORL FUNERAL CHAPEL INC. OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish at St. Bernadette Church on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. A private interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
