RUTH W.
Age 102, of Mount Lebanon (formerly Carnegie), passed away on June 17, 2026, at Asbury Heights, Mount Lebanon. The daughter of the late George and Marie Wolbert, she was born on September 23, 1923, in Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Charles Fischer; and her sisters, Marie, Georgiana, and Dorothy.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Larry) Cisko, Michael (Mary Ann) Fischer, Larry (Diana) Fischer, and James (Diane) Fischer; grandchildren, Kimberly (Eric) Bracken, Laurel (Camilo) Lopez, Heather Brooks, Mandi Fischer, Michael (Colleen) Fischer, Kevin (Jessica) Fischer, Christopher Fischer, Anne (Russ) Mathis, and Lisa (Adam Nowosielski) Fischer; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her little ones always held a special place in her heart.
Friends and relatives will be received at BAGNATO FUNERAL HOME, Carnegie, on Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Monday at 10 AM.
