SANDRA L.

Age 69, of Churchill, passed away on March 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife for 42 years of R. Keith Stonebraker. Devoted mother of Kara (Tyson) Rydze and Scott (Erika) Stonebraker. Grandmother "Giggi" of Angela Rydze, Connor Rydze and Luke Stonebraker. Sandi was born in McKeesport, PA on May 26, 1955, and raised in Elizabeth Township. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Angeline Finnegan; brother, James D. Finnegan; sister-in-law, Nancy Finnegan; and sister, Janice Finnegan. Surviving is her sister, Kathy Moloney; brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas Moloney; nephew, Steven (Josie) Finnegan; and niece, Nicole Finnegan.

Sandi graduated from Clarion State College with a bachelor's degree in education and earned a master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh. She had over 40 years of service as an elementary school teacher and principal in both the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Diocese of Greensburg. Sandi was an avid reader and enjoyed spending summer by her pool and fall at Penn State football games.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to Penn State's THON to support families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Friends will be received at MAURICE KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Rd., Plum, PA 15239 on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Fisher Church in Churchill of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
