SONDRA ELIZABETH

Sondra Elizabeth Schwartz, fondly known as Sondy, peacefully passed away at her family homestead, surrounded by family, on the morning of Thursday, August 7, 2025. A Pittsburgh native, she arrived in this world on January 20, 1946. Her parents preceded her in death, Betty (Hanlon) and Howard S. Auld, Sr. She is survived by her siblings, Howard S. Auld, Jr., Judith Kantor and Jeffrey Auld; her two children, Ashley Schwartz and Paul Schwartz; and her trusty feline companion, Jezzabella Maria. Sondra was a highly regarded elementary school teacher at Reserve Elementary of Shaler School district. Sondra attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught fourth graders for nearly 40 years. Sondra is best known for her charisma, laughter, and style. Her smile and vibrant aura were tangible and tactile. She was a force of positivity and love. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1:30 PM with a Service from 1:30 to 2 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Parkwood Presbyterian Church.
