SR. LUCILLE

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, the day before her 92nd birthday, Sister Lucille went to her eternal reward. Sister was the third of eight children born to Christina Marie McCreary and Adam John Suttelle and baptized Frances Joan. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1951 from St. John the Baptist Parish in Monaca, Pennsylvania and at her investment ceremony received the name Sister Lucille.

During her time of formation, Sister learned culinary skills which she used in the ministry of food service, to which she devoted most of her religious life. This service to the sisters was performed mainly at the Motherhouse in Allison Park and for some time for the girls at Marycrest Preparatory School. After her retirement she ministered in prayer and community service and was looking forward to the celebration of her 75th anniversary in religious life.

Sister was predeceased by her parents and siblings Veronica Fabyanic, Kathleen, Robert, and Suzie Rose Suttelle. Surviving are Alice Perkins, Ruth Carlin (Bill), Paul Suttelle, nieces and nephews, and the Sisters and Associates of Divine Providence.

Visitation will take place at Providence Heights on Monday, February 2nd, from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm with a Wake Service at 3:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 3rd at 3:00 pm. All events will take place in the Visitation Chapel of Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101. Livestream at: https://video.ibm.com/channel/Q4zW6rUvwPq.
