SR. REBECCA

Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Rebecca Jane Nolan, died at Mohun Health Care Center on June 13, 2026. She was born in 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, and in 1963 entered the Congregation of St. Mary of the Springs, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

Sr. Rebecca earned her BS in nursing from Capital University in Columbus and her MA in administration and education from New York University. She served as a nurse, administrator, adjunct professor, and in parish ministry in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Sr. and Mildred Grant Nolan; and her brother, Michael Nolan, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Conrad; and her sisters, Milicent Nolan and Christine Simmons.

A Vigil of Remembrance Service will be held at 4:30 PM on June 29, 2026, at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel, Columbus, OH.

The funeral liturgy will be held at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel at 9:30 AM on June 30, 2026, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME.
