Stephen Anthony Joyce, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on May 6, 2026. Born on July 26, 1931, he is the son of the late Patrick and Mary Joyce.
Devoted husband to Gloria Joyce to whom he was married for 70 years and created a beautiful family; beloved father to Mary Anne (Bill), Patricia (Brad), Stephen (Polly), and Jackie (Joe); loving Pap Pap to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was a 28-year veteran of the Pittsburgh City Police, spending his final 11 years as the Chief of Detectives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at PITTSBURGH CREMATION AND FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3482 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA, 15017.
