STEPHEN "STEVE"
Age 76, of Monroeville, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. He was the son of the late James and Nydia (Hightower) Sharpley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita Jean (Soss) Sharpley. Steve's superpower was making friends anytime, anywhere. He worked as a splicing technician for Bell Telephone/Verizon for over 50 years, where he made countless life-long connections. He was known for his love of fantasy sports, selfies, reality TV shows, cosplay, Steel City Con, science fiction, and smooth jazz.
Steve is survived by his son, Ian (Tracy); daughter, Lya (R.J.); brothers, Eugene (Darlene) and James (Amanda); sister, Gloria (George); and many nieces and nephews.
