SUHAD LESOON

Beloved daughter of the late Yousef and Sabha Lesoon; and survived by her siblings, Hiyam Lesoon, Edmond (Kathy) Lesoon, Raymond (Donna) Lesoon, and Albire (Laurie) Lesoon.

Suhad retired from her position as office manager at Edward Simon Sound Company. She served in the U.S. Navy as an active duty service member for eight years during the Vietnam War stationed across the nation in Hawaii, California, and Maryland. In 1971, she was honorably discharged and awarded the National Defense Service Medal for her sacrifice.

Suhad was a book lover and avid reader of mystery, thrillers, and romance novels. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and loved authentic Middle Eastern foods and family traditions. Her nieces and nephews hold many special memories of quality time together; Sunday family lunches, movie theater dates, rolling grape leaves around the table, baking/shaping holiday cookies, yearly trips to the Renaissance Festival and Penns Colony, and more, all while sharing laughs and witty banter.

Suhad succumbed to health complications on February 22, 2025, and passed peacefully. We lay her to rest loved by her family and all of her nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC., 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street (freyvogelfuneralhome.com), on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11a.m., in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral (Oakland).
