SUSAN A. (SCOTT)

Age 73, of Oakdale, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 19, 2025. Wife of James D. Hoag. Mother of James Hoag and his wife, Kristina, and Jonathan Hoag and partner, Tommy Lyons. Daughter of the late John J. and Verna M. Scott. Sister of Deborah (Donald) Davidson and Patricia (Charles) Violi. Sister-in-law of Dennis (Georganna) Hoag and Donald (Cathy) Hoag. Susie enjoyed travelling, especially her trips to the beaches in Florida and the Outer Banks. She was an excellent quilter, crocheting and making of prayer shawls for the Sisters of Mercy at Carlow University. She enjoyed time with friends and family enjoying a glass of white wine and watching sunsets with her husband. She was a great baker, making cookies and candy at Christmas, Easter and special events. Along with her hobbies, she spent many years in the workforce, was recognized for her time and efforts at HUB II (special senior housing project in Washingtonville, NY) and was President of the Washingtonville, NY PTA. No Visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of St Raphael the Archangel Parish, 330 Third Avenue, Carnegie, at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate. Arrangements entrusted to the LEO J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, Carnegie.
