SUSANNE

Age 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Her favorite moments were those spent with family, whether it be a family dinner, playing games, watching TV, babysitting her grandsons or vacationing (esp. in Atlantic City). She loved to entertain and enjoyed time with friends simply chatting, enjoying a meal, shopping or playing cards. Susanne had a great passion for baking and for cake decorating, something others were very glad she possessed. You could always rely on her cheeky sense of humor, her smile, her selflessness and her love. Everyone who knew Susanne, knew without a doubt that they were loved.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 60 years, James; her children, Chris (Brian) Rostek and Ron (Tara) Shialabba; her grandchildren, Nick (Yasmeen), Carson, Elliot, Jessica (Tom), Joslyn (Eric); her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Hudson and Reece; as well as her sister-in-law, Irene; her many nieces and nephews and her friends.

A Memorial Service will be held in the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. A reception will follow from 5-7 p.m., at the Whitehall House (adjacent to the funeral home). Susanne's family along with her friend and caregiver, Mary, request that everyone forgo the traditional black attire, and brighten the service with pink, her favorite color.
