SUZANNE THERESA

Suzanne Theresa McConnell, born on October 23, 1937, in Lawrenceville, PA, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 87.

For 67 beautiful years, she was the devoted wife of Tom McConnell. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and love, raising their family in their Brookline home of 60 years. Suzanne was the beloved mother of eight children, Tom (Lisa) McConnell, Patty (Mike) Wagner, Eileen (Jerry) Tuite, Tim (Shelly) McConnell, Suzie (Pete) Serio, Kathleen (Brad) Miller, Michael (Sherri) McConnell, and Maureen (Lucian) Cappetta. She was the proud grandmother of 25, and great-grandmother of 14, each of whom brought her tremendous joy. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jerrad Tuite.

She is survived by her siblings, Regis (Judith) McGrady, Sr. Kathleen McGrady, SC, James McGrady, Mary (the late John) Conley, Margaret Edwards, George (Karen) McGrady, Roseanne McGrady, and Eileen (Michael) Flinn. She was preceded by her parents, John and Ellen (Cusack) McGrady; siblings, John (Marlene) McGrady, Sr. Mercy McGrady, RSM, Nancy McGrady, William (surviving wife, Joyce) McGrady, and Patti McGrady.

Suzanne was the matriarch and heart of her family, a beloved presence in the lives of many. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and energy. She cherished shopping trips with her daughters, meals out with family and friends, and most of all, sharing stories and memories with her grandchildren. To her, family time was the best time. A lover of cake and spirited card games with her girlfriends, Suzanne brought laughter to every room she entered. She loved playing competitive basketball, softball, and volleyball, and she passed on that passion for sports to her children and grandchildren. Her absolute favorite pastime was attending their basketball games, providing support and smiling with pride from the stands.

Suzanne's legacy is one of faith, family, laughter, and love. She leaves behind a family forever shaped by her strength, joy, and tremendous heart. Suzanne will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Our family will be forever grateful to Dr. John A. Power for the extraordinary care, kindness, and dedication he showed our mother over the past 35 years. His compassionate presence brought comfort and strength to her life, and to ours. He has left a lasting impact on our family, and we are truly thankful.
