Thomas A. Mitchell, age 84, of Gibsonia, PA, died on May 30, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 25, 1941, son of the late Irwin Mitchell and Charlotte Howarth Mitchell. Beloved husband for 63 years of Carol Benno Mitchell. Father of Thomas Mitchell, Jr. (Angie) and Timothy Mitchell (Angela). Brother of the late Irwin Mitchell. Grandfather of Megan, Molly and Jordan.
Tom was the youngest service manager in the United States for all dealerships with Ford Motor Company, working for Lyons Ford in Bellevue. He then opened Mitchell's Truck and Auto, originally on the loop in Avalon borough and then Rt. 65, Ohio River Blvd., which Tom owned and operated for many years.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life service on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3832 Gibsonia Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044. Pastor Tony Schenk, officiant. Private interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
