Thomas Joseph Barruso, "Tom," aka "Mr. B.," passed peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with his family by his side. He was an amazing husband, father, papap, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, godfather, trusted colleague and treasured friend to many. Born in Monessen, PA, to Julia and Charles Borruso on June 8, 1933. Tom played football and basketball for the Monessen Greyhounds. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army finance Corp in Fort Benning, Georgia, from 1953 to 1955, during the Korean War. Tom married his high school sweetheart, Doris Lazzari, on May 12, 1956, and they made their family home in Pleasant Hills. He attended college at Robert Morris University on the G.I. bill and earned a degree in accounting. Tom spent his entire professional career working for PNC Bank and its predecessors, retiring in 1995 as a Vice President in the Trust Department. Tom was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, often taking the trolley with his father to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates play at Forbes Field and tailgating with his buddies while attending Steelers games at Three Rivers Stadium. He also enjoyed golfing and lunching with his fellow PNC retiree colleagues. Tom was a member of the Triumph of the Holy Cross (St. Elizabeth) parish. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Charles Borruso. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris; his daughters, Darlene Kruth (Frank) and Cheryl Barruso; his grandson, Xander Cavanagh and his fiancée, Liana Monaco. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Borruso (Linda); sister-in-law, Elaine Lazzari Smith; brother-in-law, David Lazzari; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 2-7 p.m., on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Military honors will be rendered at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately, at the convenience of the family, at Jefferson Memorial Park. A Catholic memorial Mass and a celebration of life event will be scheduled at a later date.
