Thomas S. Sutch, Sr., age 85, of Gibsonia, PA, died suddenly on July 18, 2026. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 9, 1940, and raised in the Strip District, he was the son of the late Wendell Sutch and Frances Klarich Sutch.

Beloved husband for 57 years of Dorothy Antoszewski Sutch. Loving father of Thomas Sutch, Jr. (Lori), Sherri Gunn, and Amy Sutch. Proud grandfather of Trevor (Avery), Alexis, Jaden, Colby and Kiera. Brother of the late Eileen Klarich Quinn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Family will welcome friends Thursday 2-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Richard Church, Sts. Martha and Mary Parish.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Tom was a U.S. Postal Carrier for over 40 years, working mostly out of McKnight Road, and retiring from downtown. He also worked as an attendant, ticket taker, and in security for the Civic Arena and PPG Paints Arena for over 40 years. He was a die hard Penguins fan, enjoyed golf, playing poker with friends, and especially loved going out to breakfast. When raising kids, he was always coaching sports and was a softball umpire for many years. He was a friend to all, and a stranger to no one. Most of all, Tom was a proud "Pappy" and loved being with his beloved grandchildren.
