VERONICA VAYDA THOMPSON, PH.D. Of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away at age 76 years, on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Veronica was born in Homestead, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Saloga) Vayda. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, John M. Thompson, Ph.D.; and their two daughters, Mary Kathryn Thompson, Ph.D. and Anne Margaret Thompson, Ph.D. (Will C. Lauer); and granddaughters, Alexandra Catherine and Beatrice Anne. She is also survived by her brother, Daniel Vayda, Ph.D. Veronica was predeceased by her sister, Mary Margaret Sage of West Mifflin. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120 (412-461-6394), where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Please share your memories and condolences at:
