VINCENT G.

Age 92, of Mount Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Born in McKees Rocks, PA, he was the son of the late Dominic Marco and Elvira (Cianchetti) Del Monte. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elvira "Ellie" (Capaldi) Del Monte; his beloved children, Nina Curtis (Scott), Vincent G. Del Monte (Cheri McElroy), and Lisa Sackett (Mark); and grandchildren, Justin, Zachary, and Alaina Sackett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Fred Del Monte (Alice), John Del Monte (Jean), Rina Allen (John), and Eva Gould (Jim). Vincent proudly served in the United States Army and retired after working for the United States Post Office for 43 years. He was a lover of big band music and loved to cook and eat. Vincent was known as the family food critic. Also, he was the master of ceremonies for many of his class reunions, which is where he met his lovely wife. All are welcome on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 112 Fort Couch Rd., Bethel Park, 412-835-1860 (opposite South Hills Village Macy's). Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, February 20, 2026, 10 AM, St. Thomas More Church, Resurrection Parish, 126 Fort Couch Road. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
