VUKELA
VINCENT
Vincent Vukela, a longtime resident of Bethel Park, and a man known for his quick wit and generous spirit, passed away peacefully, on January 28, 2026. He was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Carrick, Vince was the eldest of four children. In his late teens, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Following his service, Vince embarked on a career with Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic), where he dedicated 38 years of hard work, before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
Vince's greatest legacy is his family. On October 30, 1971, he married the love of his life, Margaret (Olasz) Vukela. Together, they built a life in Bethel Park rooted in love and laughter for over 54 years.
He was the devoted father of Scott Vukela and his wife, Kim, Diane Seman and her husband, Jim and Paul Vukela and his wife, Renee.
Vince was the proud "Pap-pap" to his grandchildren: Joseph (deceased), Nicole, Jocelyn and Sean. He is also survived by his siblings: Marty (Melanie) Vukela, Mary (Mike) Suley and Karen Rusnak; along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Vince was a man of many passions. He was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, never missing a chance to cheer on the Steelers, Pens, or Pirates. He loved the outdoors, spent many seasons camping, and was always ready for a game of cards.
A true lifelong learner, Vince was also a talented accordion player. No family gathering was complete without his music and a traditional toast of Slivovitz. He will be remembered most for his "quick on the draw" humor and his unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.
Family and friends will be received at PAUL HENNEY CREMATION & FUNERAL TRIBUTES, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park, on Wednesday, February 4, from 6-8 P.M. and Thursday, February 5, from 2-8 P.M. Mass of Christian burial will be offered Friday, February 6, 12:30 P.M., at St. Germaine Church, Bethel Park.
Vince will be laid to rest with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, February 6, at 2:30 P.M. www.henneyfuneralhome.com
