Vivien Kania, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 92. Vivien lived a life marked by kindness, grace, and unwavering love for her family. She had a gentle spirit and a warm smile that made everyone around her feel welcome. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on for generations. She found happiness in life's simple blessings: sharing family meals, celebrating holidays, and watching her loved ones grow. Vivien's quiet strength, wisdom, and compassionate heart touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her generosity, her gentle encouragement, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Vivien is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Robert Kania; her children, Gary (Janice), Greg (Terry), and Timothy (Dory); her cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Janine, Beth, Michael, Alexandria, Brook, and Timothy, Jr.; and her 14 treasured great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Edrie Reed; her brothers, Milford Reed, Jr. and Edward Reed; and her beloved grandson, Gregory Kania, Jr.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, family members, and friends whose kindness, compassion, and support brought comfort to Vivien throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vivien's life during a visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish-St. Victor Church. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, Richland Township. In lieu of flowers, your prayers and presence are deeply appreciated. Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in the hope that she is at peace in the presence of the Lord.
