WALTER J.
Of Gibsonia, PA, formerly Branchville, NJ, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 14, 2026. Born in Hackensack, NJ, on May 4, 1933, son of the late Fred Spink and Frances Albertson Spink. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Nelson Spink. Loving father of W. Craig Spink (Wendy) and Deborah Martin (Scott). Proud grandfather of Jonathan Spink (Janet), David Spink (Emma), Max Martin (Gisselle) and Laura Martin. Great-grandfather to Nathan, Eleanor, Marla, Chad and Nico.
Walter was a professor of Geology at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, also serving as department head. After retirement, he and his wife, Jacqueline, owned and operated the Inn at Crystal Lake in Conway, New Hampshire, on the edge of the White Mountain National Forest. Walter and Jacqueline enjoyed traveling the world with their friends, Haig and Carol. In addition, Walter was a gifted artist.
Services will be private.
