McCORMACK

WALTER RUSSELL "RUSS"

Age 71, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at home. Husband of Joani; father of beloved son Shane, brother of Edward McCormack; and brother of sisters, Elizabeth Jones (Peter) and Cathleen McCormack. He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Carol McCormack; nephew, John Jones; and niece, Lea McCormack. Also survived by an aunt, an uncle, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graduate of Freedom High School (Bethlehem) in 1973, Russ then attended Penn State's Theater Arts program. A career in stage, film, and commercial production in Pittsburgh followed. He was a past member of IATSE Local 489. Russ loved a great book and an enjoyable meal with lively conversation and was known to be a very good home cook.
