BARNHARDT

WILBERT P.

Age 84, passed away on July 31, 2026, in Greenville, PA. He was born on April 17, 1942, in Braddock, PA, to the late Guy Barnhardt and Olive Barnhardt Aiello.

Wil was a 1961 graduate of Scott High School in North Braddock, PA, where he excelled in basketball, earning a full scholarship to Edinboro College. He taught reading and English and coached basketball for many years, retiring from Albion schools in Erie County.

He had a love for horses, especially standardbred racing. He spent most of his summers on the track at The Meadows in Washington, PA.

Wil is survived by his loving sisters, Virginia "Ginger" Sacco and Frances Brown; dear niece, Kimberly Berry; and many more nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Franzi and his brother, William Barnhardt.

There will be no visitation and burial is private. He will be laid to rest at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
