WILLIAM "BILL" M.


William M. Rodgers, age 86 of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Annora and William A. Rodgers, survived by his sister and her husband, Annora and Don Deep, nieces and nephews, Colleen Deep, Kelly and Mario Panucci, and Don and Nina Deep, and many loving grandnieces and nephews. Bill graduated from Allegheny High School (1957), University of Pittsburgh (1967), and Penn State masters (1969). Bill taught Earth Science at Churchill School District (Woodland Hills) for 35 years. He also taught at Penn State and worked at the Buhl Planetarium on the North Side as a guide and narrator of sky shows for 10 years. Bill proudly served in the US Navy on the submarine USS Razorback during the Vietnam War as a radar operator. His many hobbies included collecting coins, stamps, and other memorabilia from various wars and watching and collecting over 500 movies. After retiring, Bill enjoyed traveling and visited all 7 continents. He supported numerous veterans' organizations and clubs.



Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Apple Blossom for outstanding care and compassion his final two years and appreciation also to Advanced Health Care (Hospice) for their dedication and guidance. Private interment arrangements through LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Bellevue.
