WILLIAM RICHARD
William Richard King, Ph.D., passed away peacefully, at home, on July 23, 2026, at the age of 87.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, teacher, and friend, known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and deep love for his family.
After a distinguished career at the University of Pittsburgh, he retired as a University Professor, leaving a lasting impact on his students, colleagues, and the field of information systems.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Clark King and Cambria Edith (Jones) King; and his brother, Dewey Charles King.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fay Eileen (Bickerton) King; his daughter, Cambria H. King; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There will be no visitation. Private services will be held by the family.
