WOODROW ALLEN
Woodrow "Woody" Parker, Jr., of the North Side, Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully, on July 29, 2026, at age 86. Son of the late Woodrow and Louise (Banks) Parker, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marjorie Twyman, Patricia Reid and James Parker. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday, August 13, 2026, 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 2025 Perrysville Avenue, Perry Hilltop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, 720 Arch Street, North Side, on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., followed by interment at Union Dale Cemetery. Everyone will miss hearing him share his love of family, US History, North Side history, the Steelers and the Pirates. Lisa M. Wilson and the family offer heartfelt thanks to the nurses, caretakers, and long-term roommates at his nursing home on Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh for their many years of love and care.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
